Mitt Romney has made plenty of gaffes and controversial comments, and there is certainly no lack of criticism from within his own party, or without. But in trying to put out the fire that he started with his comments about the 47% of people who don’t pay federal income tax and aren’t going to vote for him, he may have undone the entire narrative on the right.
Mitt Romney’s campaign is now about the 100%, which doesn’t seem much different than Joe Biden saying “we’re all in this together.” His line about the 100% isn’t what really caught my attention though; it was what came after, when he said, “I think most people want to pay taxes.”
Seeing how this is the first honest thing I can recall Romney saying that I actually agree with, I decided to write him a letter and see if we can't find more things we can agree on.
